Omnisient, the privacy-preserving data collaboration platform helping banks apply AI to anonymized and protected consumer data for credit scoring and precision marketing, has been named one of CNBC’s World’s Top FinTech Companies 2026 in the Enterprise FinTech: Banking Solutions category.

The annual CNBC ranking recognizes companies driving innovation across global financial services. Omnisient’s inclusion reflects the growing importance of privacy-preserving data collaboration as financial institutions increasingly adopt AI to improve credit decisions, fraud detection, and customer acquisition.

As banks invest heavily in artificial intelligence, one challenge has become increasingly apparent: AI is only as effective as the quality and breadth of the data it can access. Yet much of the world’s most valuable consumer data remains locked inside individual organizations because of privacy regulations, security concerns, and competitive barriers.

Omnisient addresses this challenge by enabling organizations to analyze combined datasets without ever exchanging raw data or exposing personal information. Using Privacy-Enhancing Technologies (PETs) and AI, the platform allows financial institutions and their data partners to build predictive models and generate insights across multiple datasets while each organization retains complete control of its customer data.

The platform supports three primary use cases: improving credit risk assessment through alternative data, detecting fraud across institutions, and enabling precision customer acquisition through privacy-preserving data collaboration.

By providing organizations with a secure, neutral environment to apply AI to large anonymized consumer datasets spanning industries including retail, telecommunications, and healthcare, Omnisient enables financial institutions to make better decisions based on a more complete understanding of consumer behavior.

The platform has already demonstrated significant commercial and social impact. Through collaborations between leading banks and major retailers in South Africa, Omnisient has enabled financial institutions to make 38% of the local market’s previously credit-invisible consumers visible, with 15% qualifying for credit based on analysis of their shopping behavior. Predictive models built using combined anonymized datasets have proven 41% more accurate at predicting loan repayment than traditional approaches where no credit history exists.

Beyond lending, financial institutions have reduced customer acquisition costs by up to 74% while achieving more than 7x return on advertising spend by targeting a bank’s ideal customers with a high likelihood of responding.

In 2025, Omnisient received a strategic investment from and entered into a global partnership with TransUnion, one of the world’s leading information and insights companies. The partnership is helping accelerate global adoption of Omnisient’s privacy-preserving data collaboration platform, enabling financial institutions to securely access new sources of alternative data across industries while protecting consumer privacy.

Today, Omnisient operates across North America, Brazil, the Middle East, the United Kingdom, and Africa.

“The future of AI in financial services isn’t simply about building better models, it’s about enabling those models to learn from richer data without compromising consumer privacy,” said Jon Jacobson, Co-Founder and CEO of Omnisient. “We’re building the infrastructure that makes that possible. As financial institutions increasingly adopt AI to improve decision-making, we believe privacy-preserving data collaboration will become foundational infrastructure for the future of banking.”

Founded in 2019, Omnisient’s mission is to build the world’s largest repository of alternative data to enable more accurate and inclusive financial decision-making, helping millions more people gain access to life-changing financial services.
