Our Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives are focused on removing financial obstacles for promising young individuals and empowering them with the skills, tools and experience they need to enter the workforce and thrive in a digital world. That’s because we believe in the transformative power of education and the critical role it plays in shaping a better future for individuals and communities.

Below are the initiatives we are supporting to do just that.

Empowering young people with digital skills and valuable work experience

Omnisient has embarked on a collaboration to upskill and develop young freelancers with Techmission, a non-profit dedicated to empowering young freelancers with digital skills and work experience.

TechMission has been instrumental in developing young freelancers in social media management, no-code web development, and design and providing them with the essential work experience and skills to enter the workforce.

Through this partnership, Omnisient is providing young individuals with valuable work experience and training to prepare them to enter the workforce and find rewarding employment.

Equipping smart classrooms for smart educators and their students

Omnisient is supporting Sophumelela High School in Cape Town by equipping six Smart-enabled classrooms with laptops, soundbars, projectors, and whiteboards. This initiative is particularly significant as Sophumelela High School, located in the underprivileged area of Philippi, has a strong focus on Mathematics, Science, and Technology, and is recognized for its efforts to provide meaningful education that addresses both local and global contexts.

Despite limited resources, the school has excelled in nurturing students’ academic and extracurricular talents, with many students achieving remarkable results in these critical subjects.

Our support is empowering educators with innovative tools and enriching the learning experience for students. This investment is paving the way for a brighter future for generations to come.

Clearing student debt to unlock potential

Omnisient has supported 17 promising students at the University of Cape Town by clearing their outstanding student debt. These students, who can now graduate with Bachelor’s of Science degrees with majors in Computer Sciences, Business Computing, Applied Mathematics, Information Systems, and Analytics, were previously unable to graduate due to financial constraints.

By eliminating this burden, we are enabling them to enter the workforce and apply their valuable skills in the tech industry. This initiative not only transforms the lives of these students but also contributes to the broader community by empowering a new generation of skilled professionals.

Supporting exceptional high school students in financial need

Omnisient has partnered with Westerford High School to provide partial bursaries to 17 exceptional students, facilitating their educational journeys through crucial academic years and alleviating financial barriers.

This initiative embodies our belief in education’s transformative power, enabling ambitious students to delve into their passions, achieve academic excellence, and ultimately, forge a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
